The Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL) will commence a training program on Sri Lanka Public Sector Accounting Standards (SLPSAS) to improve knowledge and skills in public finance service delivery. The objective of the training program is to equip 600 National Audit Office staff members with a thorough understanding of key Sri Lanka Public Sector Accounting Standards (SLPSAS).

Specifically, the program aims to cover SLPSAS No. 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18, and 19. By doing so, participants will develop the necessary competencies to improve service delivery in conducting financial and statutory audits on public sector entities. The training program will be structured as a series of workshops conducted over the course of three months, from June to August 2024.
